why it exists
Small-scale residential work is where most people actually meet architecture, and it's usually where the standard of delivery is lowest. studio 3J was started to raise that standard without raising budgets: berlin meets desert modern, climate-first, and rich spaces that don't have to be expensive.
what we do
- for owners: custom homes, low-density multi-family, townhomes, additions, renovations and ADUs, with deep expertise in historic preservation.
- for contractors: a fractional member of the team. traditional design and engineering, or help securing permits, sourcing and managing bids, and keeping things moving on site.
- the whole job: in-house architecture, engineering, interiors, landscape and construction management. somebody has to.
why it matters here
Running a practice means I'm a small business owner too. I know what it's like to be the person who has to make the software work, pay for it, and live with it every day. That's the lens I bring to every tool I build for other businesses, especially in AEC.
